Responsibilities of the Location Elevator Manager include:
• Manages daily operation of the grain facility. Ensure all activities are within company guidelines applicable laws/regulations.
• Provides leadership and supervision to the location’s employees to include recruiting, training, employee development, performance feedback and evaluations, disciplinary action, and coordination of wage administration.
• Coordinate most effective grain logistics, inventory, receiving, shipping, and blending of grain to maximize return. Assure grain condition and proper aeration practices.
• Manage grain marketing, grain origination and customer settlements.
• Responsible for the financial performance of the grain facility. Develop plans and strategies to ensure facility is at maximum capacity.
• Preparation of the location’s annual budget plan. Completes cost versus benefit analysis on any capital and expenditure proposals. Look for growth opportunities.
• Responsible for safety training and continued compliance at the location. Ensure employees understand, implement and comply with all safety polices, procedures and programs for prevention and protection while performing job duties in various work environments.
• Maintains clean facilities and complies with all state and federal regulations pertaining to a safe workplace. Ensures maintenance of the elevator, grounds, equipment and vehicles are being completed in a timely manner.
• Handles all regulatory compliance matters for grain facility. Stay abreast of all regulations and pending issues to keep the facility in effective operating order.
• Provides exceptional customer service to include resolving complaints and responding promptly to customer needs.
• Effectively communicates by written and verbal means with customers, employees, vendors and management.
• Other projects and duties as assigned by management.

Requirements for the position:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture or related area or equivalent experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Basic computer operation skills
• Willing to seek out and attend additional training and education as needed.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Frequent bending, stooping and climbing ladders.
• Must be able to work in outdoor conditions. This position is exposed to grain dust, hot and cold weather and moderate noise levels.
