PRIMARY DESCRIPTION
This position will prepare selected individuals for a management position within the Irsik & Doll organization. The trainee will learn most aspects of the company’s feed yard and grain divisions.

While at the feed yard location, the trainee will work in each department to learn its function within the feed yard operation. This includes mill operations, feed management and delivery, animal health assessment and treatment, and cattle processing. Individuals will also learn feed yard business operations, such as feed yard accounting, cattle marketing, feedstuff purchasing and customer relations/origination.

While in our grain operations, the trainee will first learn the aspects of grain handling, inventory practices, job safety and facility maintenance. This includes loading and unloading trucks, equipment maintenance and repair and monitoring grain condition. Upon completion, the trainee will then learn the office operations, such as bookkeeping, grain grading, contracting, scale operations, data entry and customer relations/origination.

After location work is completed, trainees will spend time at central office to become familiar with our grain marketing, cattle financing and risk management departments.

Trainee will take on a more permanent assignment within the one-year program at one of several locations. This position may require trainee to relocate.

This program provides a wide range of duties, which will help the trainee better define their individual interests. Trainees will also get to know the personnel within the organization, which will be a future resource. Individuals completing this program will fully understand the company’s operations and how they work together toward a common goal.

All candidates must be open to relocation.

EDUCATION
• Graduating senior or recent graduate from an accredited university or 1-3 years of prior relevant work experience.
